First of all, in the process of injection moulding to produce products, the temperature in the Crate Mould is usually relatively high. Therefore, the steel products of crate mould manufacturers must be high-temperature tempered mould steel, so that the overall designed mould size will not be affected even in a high-temperature environment, thus ensuring the overall precision of the mould.

Secondly, in the process of injection moulding, raw materials of plastic products such as resin and various additives will corrode the surface of the crate mould, thus affecting the overall precision of the crate mould. Therefore, corrosion-resistant steel grades must also be used in the selection of die steel.

Plastic products generally have relatively high requirements for surface gloss, so in the production process of injection moulding, the surface roughness of the cavity of the corresponding crate mould is required to be relatively small, so that plastic product conforming to the standards can be injection moulded. Therefore, die steel free of impurities and pores must be selected, and after the crate mould is manufactured, the surface of the mould cavity must be polished, ground and other processing treatments.

In the process of using the crate mould to produce products, due to the high-speed flow of plastic raw materials in the mould cavity of the crate mould, great friction will be formed on the surface of the entire crate mould. Therefore, wear-resistant die steel needs to be selected to ensure that the quality of the products is always stable in the mass injection production process.
